I once had RC1 which I later sold together with my EOS 50E. I found it quite
useful especially the MLU 2 second timer. But for instant release, unless
you can hide it well, it will only ruin the shot. I mean we do not want to
be photographed holding or even aiming the RC1. But OTOH, the sensor is
better positioned on EOS 30 than on EOS 50. I think the best position for
the sensor would be on top of the camera (perhaps on the selector dial) so
it can pick signal omni-directionally.
