You're soooo right, Dan. My biggest complaint with the 50 1.8 is how
difficult it is to get the dang hood unclipped from the adapter ring. If you
look at the lens, there's a groove on the front edge that looks like it was
made to take a hood. I always assumed that there was an earlier hood than
the ES-62 that fit directly onto the lens. If so, THAT would be a nice item
to have!
