It looks like it was Daniel Rocca again, if one follows the link. Please
note that the 70-200 IS news is incorrect, it was quickly changed to news
of a more weatherproofed 70-200 f/2.8 L, but not with IS.
>From rec.photo.equipment.35mm:
"Subject: Canon news from PMA - 70-200/2.8 IS
Date: Tue, 13 Feb 2001 17:24:40 -0000
From: Bill Tuthill <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
Organization: http://creekin.net
Newsgroups: rec.photo.equipment.35mm
According to website
http://eosseries.ifrance.com/eosseries/lenscanon/news.htm
these new Canon products have been announced at PMA:
New Canon EF 70-200/2.8L IS lens, ($2200)
New Canon EOS-1D body: digital version of the EOS-1v
New Canon EF 400/4.0 DO IS lens, (priced at $5750)
New teleconverters 1.4x and 2x, ($375 each)
The first and second could be predicted, the third was preannounced,
and the fourth isn't very exiting.
A 70-200 f/2.8 lens with image stabilization! That's exciting."
