A quick survey shows that all of the Canon prime lenses I looked at had DOF
scales with the exception of the 50mm f1.8 II, which has no focusing scale.
The only lenses that don't have the scale are zooms, and in most cases it
would be hard to imagine how a scale would be implemented. A one-ring zoom
can have an expanding scale on the barrel, but how would you this with a
two-ring lens?
