Well, I got "a" shot.  :-)  I wouldn't call it "the" shot, but I'll be
back.   This shot may take a while to get.  That was my first visit to
his habitat, and I've much to learn.

  It's actually kind of a funny shot, because the bird was scurrying
down this drainage, and I got him from behind, a long line of
footstep-splashes trailing him.  It's clear we were both running!  

It would be interesting to see some of your wife's shots of the cat
with the 75-300  Is hers the IS version?  Was she using a tripod?

I agree it's a spectacular creature!  You're a lucky guy to get so
close.    Of course, "luck favors the prepared" and you aced it.
