Then you should at least consider the Tamron 20-40mm f/2.7-3.5.  After
hearing a number of people praise it here, reading 3 or 4 favorable
reviews and seeing that it gets high (3.7) photodo marks, I bought
one.  I posted a short review of it a week ago or so, that you can
read.  I have developed 4 rolls shot through it so far, and I think
it's a great lens.
