Hi all,
I don't know if this has been asked (was away the past 3 weeks in Spain) but somewhere
in the middle of the trip, I had the camera lock up on me. The LCD shows the last
setting, for example, in AV mode, the aperture will be say, 0.0 but I can't change it,
the shutter speed and other display will also be frozen (This happened the first time
when I changed lenses). First time, I removed all the batteries then put them back in
and it worked ok. Second time, it struck suddenly. I switched the back dial on then
back off to unlock it. Never happened ever since.
My friend's EOS30 is in worse shape. The LCD and viewfinder display lights up fully
(i.e. everything is on) the moment he depresses the shutter button halfway otherwise
functioning. However, it locks up when ECF is turned off. His body locked up similarly
to mine before this bad case.
Both bodies are about 2 months old and I've run about 40 rolls through it at this
stage. Anyone experience this?
