I checked with Tamron and they indicated this was a small problem that was
corrected prior to distribution.
These may be with pre-production sample units sent out for testing by a
limited number.
Units have not yet shipped from the factory for distributed in North
America, this is expected in about 3 weeks.
These lenses will be 100% working production units.
