The missing wired remote is my favourite of these. The others aren't 
worth complaining about. I never used flash at ISO 5000 on any of
my cameras yet. As for the barcode programming, I still have to
try it. I have read somewhere (Argh, again I don't remember where),
that if you do our own barcodes, you can do quite interesting things
that are not possible with the camera otherwise. I even acquired 
the barcode reader last year, used but fully functional, at a 
bargain price (about $12). But I havan't started creating my own 
barcodes yet. After all, it's a gadget, and while it really may 
add features to the camera, it's well possible to live without it.

IMHO, the most infamous thing about the camera is, that it can't set
flash exposure compensation for external flashes. So, if the flash
doesn't provide it (e.g. 420EZ doesn't), you're out of luck and 
have to fiddle with the ISO settings in combination with M mode.
Other than that, it's a great little camera.
