Hi Severi,
Make sure Red-eye Reduction lamp is Enabled.
Set the camera to Green Mode.
Switch the lens to Manual focus.
Cover the lens with a lens cap.
Half-press the shutter release button.
The flash should popup, and the RER lamp should shine.

P.S. If the hotshoe switch is activated, the flash will not pop up,
and the RER lamp will not shine.
P.P.S. Enabling 2nd curtain sync (CF5=1) also disables RER
