I should have mentioned that the EOS1nHS + 300/2.8 combination goes
through batteries like crazy when shooting ice hockey (because of all
the follow-focussing that goes on) and I suspect that it would be
worse still when using IS. I've tried alkalines and lithiums but
NiMHs are really the only sensible answer.
