I will second Ken's opinion on this. Having a weapon can also backfire (no
pun intended) because of your increased sense of confidence.
As stated by someone already, the best advice is to shoot with someone
else. And they don't even have to be tough-looking. The odds change to a
crook when he sees two people instead of one.
