Same here. My �original� 28-105 is a recent example, bought from B&H after the Mk II
had been released (I believe they still have some). No flower symbol, and a
seven-blade diaphragm. This example is sufficiently recent that it doesn't have a date
code (at least not anywhere I can see it).

To the best of my knowledge the only differences between the recent version of the
original 28-105 and the �II� edition are in its external appearance.
