A lot depends on where you're located; while I've never seen one in a shop,
second-hand 300/4Ls can be found on the Web, in the US. They sometimes show up
on eBay (although a quick search reveals none at the moment), and KEH in Atlanta
currently lists three: one for US$725 and two for $819. That's about four times
the U.S. price of a �regular� 75-300, but less than double the price of a 75-300
IS (based on B&H prices). The second-hand market in Japan may be entirely
different, of course.
