Yes. Not very. I bought some Kodak Gold from B&H that turned out to
be manufactured in the UK, probably for the Middle Eastern market -
the writing on the box was all in Arabic. It's the sole time that
I've been disappointed with B&H's usually excellent service, as I
wasn't notified upon ordering that the film wasn't your standard
manufactured-in-Rochester film. (I've bought Fuji NPH/NPS film from
B&H grey market before, and it was your usual high-quality
Made-in-Japan film)

And yes, the Gold was dreadful stuff - grainy and grotesquely high
contrast. It *seemed* to be worse than the usual Kodak Gold you can
buy here, but to be fair I didn't take the time to compare the films
directly, so it might have been my disappointed imagination.

Finally, keeping things more on-topic, a while ago I accidentally
posted a message to the list that contained my home address. This
weekend my place was broken into and all my gear taken. Since I can't
afford to replace any of it it's obviously very disappointing. Two
years' of savings and hard work tracking down used gear, gone. Just
like that. No more photography for me for a long time.

Now there's probably no connection at all, but who knows? Perhaps a
list-reader saw my address and decided to target my place
accordingly. So. Just a reminder - posting personal information such
as addresses and phone numbers to the Net is probably unwise.
