Well, is some of the larger hobby shops that carry
model car paints, you can get black flocking to shake
onto the fresh black paint (we in the model car world
use it to simulate cloth upholstery in the interiors).
You can probably find the stuff in craft stores, too,
if you're willing to check in your testosterone at the
door. ;-) 

This thread is turning into something that should be
cross posted into rec.models.scale or the gpma
discussion list! :-)

Of course, there is the old standby... if you want a
really nonreflective surface inside the hood/lens you
can just glue some black felt or velvet in there!
(Works on the old Schneider lenses for the Exata...)
