DF> Hello,

DF> Just want to express my thoughts on my next lens adventure. Right now
DF> I have a 15/2.8, 24/2.8, & 50/1.8 mk1, on my eos5 and sometimes on my
DF> efm:) . What I need is a bit of length. I was 100% ready to get the
DF> 100/2 but then I started to think why not get the 70-200/4??? for about
DF> $200 USD more I can have my first "L" lens!! But the back draws to this
DF> is the f4 vs. f2. Having never use an "L" lens I don't know what to
DF> expect compared to the 100/2 or my other lenses. Is the loss of 2 stops
DF> off-set by any other gains for the nice glass or I will I not see any
DF> difference, and just stay with the 100mm. I shoot mostly print B&W film
DF> and frequently enlarge to 11*14. Plus the 100 is lighter, & smaller
DF> filters (that I already have). I don't really need to go to 200mm but
DF> if I have it you never know.

Hello Daniel,

What do you want to use it for? Have you also considered the
200/2.8L? I'm aware of your last sentence but do you think that
the 100mm will be long enough?
