It depends a lot on your needs. If you mainly do
manual work, want a very solid body, need a 100%
viewfinder, faster flash sync, etc then the 1 might be
a better deal. In all other cases I would go with the
Elan 7. The Elan 7 is a well built body that offers
the latest features, i.e. 7 AF fields, fairly fast AF,
High Speed Flash Sync, built-in flash, diopter
ajustment, DOF preview with a button, etc. After using
the Elan 7 for about a month I started to appreciate a
few functions. Nevertheless, I still do prefer the 1n.
But that is mainly because I use the camera on a
tripod in manual mode most of the time. For a
walk-around body, for people photography, etc I would
prefer the 7.
