Hi Dave,

The original post at WJM's website suggested using the 380EX for the
new FP function.

But the 380EX, and the 420EX that replaces it, do not have any facility
for manual flash control.  And the Guide number in High sync mode is
supposed to vary with zoom angle AND with the shutter speed.

So how is an EOS 1N user supposed to do manual flash exposure?
Does you need a hand held flash meter? Or Polaroid instant proofs?
