With a "real" flash, that supports manual flash exposure?! ;-)
The 550EX will probably fit the bill here. Personally, I don't have
any experience with it, I can't be bothered to upgrade my 1N to be
FP flash ready. The price tag is too high for the 1 picture per month
where I would like to have the feature. I think I can perfectly live
without it. After all, I managed to do so for 20 years already ;-)
