Hi,
I was checking the user manual of the 550 for the angles of coverage
(horizontal & vertical) of the different zoom settings of the flash. But
they're simply not there. (at least in mine). I'm particulary interested
in the coverage of the 17mm and 24mm settings.
Can I use -for example- the Lens calculator of Julian for this
purposes?
I wonder, given the fact that the angles of coverage are directly
related with the 24X36 mm exposed surface (leaving the lens alone, it'll
be the cone of coverage :-). Can I somehow consider the 75x36mm area of
the front element of the flash ?
Reason: I'm lighting an aquarium by placing the flash just next to the
glass, but I'm not sure the lighting is even (I can't really say from
the slides, but I've the impression that it could be better). I want to
make sure that at the point I'm taking the pictures, the flash covers
the whole width of the aquarium.
Greetings,
Gerard (regretely back from holidays ;-) ... willing to leave again !
;-) ;-)
