Hi Gerard,
Without questions like yours, the List dies of apathy.
1) Does the remote indicator light show BEFORE or DURING exposure?
2) Can you use the MODELLING FLASH to check for angle of coverage?
3) Direct flash will produce harsh shadows. Is this what you want?
4) Can you use flash bounced off a ceiling/wall/reflector?
5) If you are shooting still life, how about FLASH PAINTING? Put the
camera on BULB and use MULTIPLE EXPOSUREs with the flash moved to
different positions to get the coverage you want/need.
