Hi all,
I noticed something odd in my lenses - my Tokina 28-80/2.8 ATX-Pro seems to
be darker at 2.8 than Tamron 90 2.8 Macro at 2.8. Same light, same body.
Apperture doesn't seem to stick. Just when I look through Tokina, image in
the viewfinder seems a bit darker. It's almost not noticeable during the
daylight, but rather at home, with regular lamp light. Could it be that zoom
lens does it vs prime?
It shouldn't, I think, since they are both 2.8. Resulting Image quality on
slides and prints doesn't seem to be affected. Only thing about Tokina - it
has a Hoya SMC haze filter on it, while Tamron has none. Maybe I should take
the filter off and see what it does? But I didn't think it would be an issue,
would it?
Any ideas?
Thanks,
George
