Dear fellas,
Do you have some 1-st hand experience with the D30 focussing
capabilities? I have just purchased (after a lot of research) a
Powershot G1 and it turned out to be a complete disaster - its
focussing algorithm (contrast-based one) isn't capable of properly
focussin at distances of 1.5-2.5 meters... Out of 4-5 shots from one
and the same place, with the model sitting still, I usually have only
one properly focussed... G1 is a complete disaster, and I think of
upgrading to D30, but want to know whether it experiences the same
problem or not.
On-line reviews won't help - I've read the whole review of G1 at
dpreview.com, and nowhere the focussing problem was mentioned!
