I'v been thinking my body replacement for a while, mainly due lack of money I have had
more than enough time... EOS 3 has been in my mind, but now I have seriously estimated
EOS 30 for my next body. I would like to know your experiences, is EOS 30 worth
thinking compared to EOS 3. I have now 500N which have proven to be a nice body, but
it's autofocus is slow and fps 1/s is lousy. EOS 30's 4 fps is enough for me, but how
about autofocus compared to EOS 3? Is it suitable for fast moving objects? I am
shooting boats and ships indoor/at sea for my living (+occasionally some weddings and
parties) and usually nobody believes which body I use when reading the magazines I
publish my articles...

I would like to know your opinions about this EOS 30 vs 3 subject, especially if there
are some other folk who has been thinking the same issue. 500N has been a good body
for me in shooting many situations, but I have always fear that it will break in my
heavy use one day. I know that 3 is mechanically built for a pro but how about 30?
Also, how about control knobs and other user interface things, are there differences
with 30 and 3 in this stage?

When I bought my 28-135 IS 1,5 year ago I had this similar problem in choosing between
28-70 2.8 and my current lens which has worked very fine, but should I now go to
cheaper choice again, that's the problem.

Anyway, all opinions are highly appreciated
