Yes, I was using the lens in auto focus mode but still think the Rebel is supposed to
fire whenever the shutter button is fully depressed if the body is set to manual.
As for AI Servo vs One Shot, the camera supposedly does this by itself depending on
which mode is set. In manual mode it is supposed to be AI Servo.
Or so I understand from the camera booklet.
