Hi Gerry,

I think you missed my point. There is no better place for EOS
users to share tips and experiences (and opinions) than the
EOS List (now 7 years old :-)

Besides, I thought that my tip about using MASTER ON/OFF on
the 550EX was undocumented and non-intuitive and may be of
some use to someone else (even with the Elan II). Maybe I
was wrong.

And yes, I do wish that Canon would improve on the low-light
AF performance. And that the BP-50 and BP-300 had a central
tripod socket; and a second control dial. And that DEP mode
was shiftable. And that * or # selects partial metering lock.
And for a different focussing screen. And that the paint and
decals don't rub off on the Elan II. And that the built-in
flash doesn't cause a shadow with the 28-135. And that there
was a quick way to reset the 550EX. etc. etc. etc.

P.S. As for camera controls, I'm still struggling with CF4.
CF4=1 just seems so unnatural to me :-(
