I am thinking of buying a 1.4X or 2X extender for my 100-400 IS. It will
be used with a A2 body. My understanding is the 1.4X will cost me one
stop, my max aperture would go from f/4.5 to f/5.6 and the 2X would cost me
2 stops, f/4.5 to f/8? Is this right? And I understand that with my A2 I
would not have AF. How do they effect metering? How about maintaining the
lens IS function? Anything else I should know about these to help me decide?
