I've been offered a pair of mint extension tubes for about half retail and am considering grabbing them. I mainly want them to do close up vehicle detail work - badges, small components etc, as well as the odd plants, insects etc for mucking around/club stuff. Has anybody with these tubes got any comments on whether they are worth the money etc? I imagine the image quality when used with L lenses is unchanged as they contain no elements ? Any down side ? It seems the way to go as I wouldn't have enough use to justify a dedicated macro lens. Any advice appreciated. Regards, Tim
