-the subjects seem to leap out with amazing clarity, and there's

-grade 20-35mm lens - the subjects just seem to be so much sharper.

For those interested, Michael Reichman has posted a fairly thorough, if
somewhat technical, discussion of the often misued term "bokeh" on his
website www.luminous-landscape.com. While our XX-200/2.8Ls most certainly
DO have good bokeh, the description implies far more than simple blurriness
of the background. As any student of foreign languages will tell you, some
foreign words or expressions, especially those from the east-asian
countries, cannot be translated on a simple one-for-one basis with english,
. Boke or "bokeh," originating in Japanese, seems to be one of these words,
as this article 'lengthily' shows.
