Hi Jim, I looked at all these options recently myself. I would have liked the 100/2.8 macro but couldn't justify the cost. I bought a second hand pair of Canon extension tubes eventually. I only got the chance to have a play with them late last week when I coupled them to the 28-70L and shot some flowers. It was only on print film but I will let you know how they look when I get them processed in the next day or so. The 25mm tube allowed for some incredibly close shots which I will be interested to see. I was playing with wireless flash as well though so I don't know what to expect.
