I have two bodies with ECF and use it probably 95+% of the time (with those bodies). The majority of the remaining 5% is manual focus. I also have two bodies without ECF - but they're fitted with split image focusing screens which I find very handy - it's nice to have that additional visual confirmation of focus, and I have to say that I rarely need to touch up focus at all on them. I suspect the EOS world is divided into 3 camps, those who love ECF, those who hate it, and those whose EOS bodies don't have it (there's likely to be a bit of crossover between the camps too - myself for one!).
