My incredible gf got me the canon wide angle 20mm/2.8 lens
(as well as a slew of cool film like IR ) for my birthday (actually I was a
bit mortified as she's a poor humanities grad student who survives on
ramen noodles.) It uses a 72mm filter size which match my 28-135 IS zoom
but what I was wondering was whether I need either the wideangle or the
slim filters for this lens. It is not obvious from the manual/blurb that
comes w/ the lens.

On a somewhat related note does anyone have any experience
w/ getting the Mack/B&H warranty w/out the receipt? I know she
just mailordered (w/in the week) the lens (its brand new) from B&H so I
was going to call B&H up to grab the hood/filter/extended warranty but I
don't really have the heart to ask her for the sales receipt to mail out
w/the warranty but am not really sure what my options are..
