Hi Ray,

We use State Farm Insurance for our home, car and genral liability insurance
policies and our home owner's policy covers this kind of stuff. I called
the my agent, told him what I wanted to do and he faxed me something called
a certificate of insurance showing the policy number coverage amounts and
period of coverage. I'm not a working pro and the useage was
non-professional and not for profit or they would have made me buy some
other kind of insurance to cover the rental gear. I don't recall how much
coverage was provided by this but it was enough for the rental lenses I used
to use (EF 300 2.8L and EF 400 2.8L), until I bought my own EF 300 2.8L.
This means that the coverage must have been up to or in excess of $8,000 or
so? This was just a few (I looked, YIKES! 3), years ago and I'm pretty sure
it was a part of my home owner's policy. I don't think I paid anything
extra for it though I'm pretty sure that they would SELL you a policy to
cover such rental equipment if you wanted to give them more money!

Regards,

Chip Louie
