Hi F�lix,

I owned this lens for awhile.  I agree with Chip that
the very shallow DOF was very hard for an amateur like
me to manage.  I got some very "dreamy" baby portraits
when everything came together, but I got 2-3 times
more photos I had to throw away due to my
mis-focusing.

The autofocus was okay in most situations.  When I
needed it the most, dim situations , it would hunt  so
much that I stopped using it for indoor pictures w/o
flash.  After awhile, I determined that the 1-2 stop
gain I got on this lens was not worth the weight or
cost.  

I think if your technique is very good, then you would
know the exact situations to take full advantage of
this lens.  As the "default" lens for an amateur like
myself, it was too much and too heavy.
