Amen to that. i think Canon spent a lot of energy on those 'bragging' products, to prove that Canon 'know how'... i use nikon as well and lots of nikon AIS marvels were not upgraded to the latest AF-D version because of market reasons. yet Canon is known for marketing strategies... far less than 1% of Canon users would buy a 50/1 (or even see it) yet Canon figured they might get attracted to the Canon system just because Canon has it... the value of a 1.0 lens should be the performance at f1, yet this lens is hardly useable at f1 - heavy light fall-off and poor sharpness wide open... saw the results and this lens disappeared from my dreams ;-) cheers, kz * **** ******* *********************************************************** * For list instructions, including unsubscribe, see: * http://www.a1.nl/phomepag/markerink/eos_list.htm ***********************************************************
