I was looking for not very expensive digital camera and finally bought CASIO
QV 4000, 4.13MP, Canon zoom lens (probably the same as G2), TIFF and JPG,
Flash Card or IBM Microdrive, pictures come out perfect, camera is compact,
power consumption acceptable, evaluative, partial and spot metering, nine
focus points plus macro and infinity, full manual mode, panorama and up to
30s video. Canon G2 and Olympus E10 were both more expensive. Sufficient to
start with digital photography.
Why I decided to buy such compact camera ? Because I saw prices of new Canon
digital SLR's ;o((
