And with the 1.4x TC (as opposed to the 2x), you still have autofocus with an EOS-3 or 1v. But Kim's original list of features related to the 7e body. I have the 100-400, but it sounded to me as if the original poster (sorry -- I deleted the message and forgot who posted) would not have needed anything longer than 200mm. In which case, why not buy the smaller/faster 70-200mm IS?
