Canon gave these to pros using the then-new T90 camera body (for free, I think). They continued selling them though their "1-800" parts service until they ran out, about 5 or 6 years ago. They charged $12 + tax, no shipping - I must have purchased one of their last. It may seem like a good idea, but in actual use, the button gets in the way and is easily pressed accidentally. And there is still no vertical grip available for the T90 or EOS 6xx bodies. ...and no, I don't have it any more.
