Peter, I knew that 85mm would be sharper. I just didn';t think I would notice it that much on a 4x6!
Anyway, I have two 28-105's and two 28-135's, fwiw (I just sold one of the 28-135's and one of the 28-105's, but they are still in my posession). I will let you know, when I go thru my slides this weekend. I did a lens shoot-out this weekend, comparing 28-105, 28-135, Tokina 28-80, Tokina 19-35 and Canon 50mm where they meet. Hopefully it will be a good comparison. As for popular photo comparing 28-105 and 28-135, not sure. Maybe they had a bad one :-) Was the IS on?
