Harrison,

For me, you really have hit the nail on the head.

I don't want to think another format.

A recurring problem for me, with medium format, is the lack of ultra wide
lenses. I then "think" 35mm.

I have a considerable investment in Canon glass. I wouldn't have bought a
14mm if I didn't need 104 degrees. On the D60 it becomes like a 20mm+. A
2000 lens for a 400 angle of view with poorer resolution.

I can understand the multiplier being a plus for some. But if the framing is
a little loose then we can crop. If you can't get it all in then what?
Photostitch? I don't think so.

I have to buy a digital camera. My clients are starting to request digital
origination. So I'm stuck between a rock and hard place. 1D with its low
multiplier and resolution or D60 with its higher res and multiplier. I want
the best of both worlds. Not too much to ask, is it?

Did someone say "Contax"?
