Hi Karen,

A projected grid would be nice, though it might be kind of distracting
(and maybe a little blinding...).

I did some tests when I put in my grid screen, and I actually don't
think you really lose any light, except perhaps in special situations. 
I tested using the cameras meter by putting one screen in at a time and
switching the custom function back and forth while metering a set scene.
 I couldn't get it to give me any different readings regardless of which
custom function I had set using CW metering.  Maybe the error only comes
in with certain lenses or with spot metering or something.  I'm not
sure, I just thought I would pass it along.  You don't really have to
switch the screen to test this either, just switch the custom function
setting(IIRC it is CF 0).
