You are 100% accurate.  A friend of mine actually sets up a PC
with a screen (at the reception) then inserts the images 
he took and runs a program that shows them on the 
screen with numbers. 
People then pick out which ones they want and 
pay only $20 for a nice 8x10 which he prints right 
there. He averages about $500+ extra each wedding doing this 
and the people absolutely love it. Not a bad return.
Yes, the pictures are not as sharp as say an 8 x 10 from a 
6x4.5cm negative, but elderly Aunt Millie who lives in Podunk
can now get a copy of the picture she wants while in San Diego.
And Uncle Charlie can get a nice one of the bride & groom and 
take it home rather than wait for the thank you card.
With word of mount he is booked into 2005 already.
