Hi Evrim,

>From the D60's technical description it also sounds like you can alter the
character of the output right in the camera and have several settings saved
that you can select from. Sort of like changing film but the grain staying
the same. This is a move in the right direction and is the start of
overcoming one of my other problems with digital, digital images all looking
the same and that the basic characteristics of image sensor is fixed. Of
course I realize that this can be overcome with virtually any photo editing
program but having to go into an editor defeats the time and money savings
of digital vs. conventional film photography big time.

For a wedding photographer, it seems to me that you don't have enough time
already. Film gives the photographer the ability to send film in, get
proofs back in a day or two, stick them in a book and arrange a date to look
at them with the client. Something I learned from a friend of mine who had
an active studio (with 6 regular photogs), for 30+ years and also shot
multiple weddings EVERY weekend (and surprising to me anyway, on weekdays!),
was that you need to limit the client's options. If given too much choice,
clients can and will suck up all of the available time not spent behind a
camera leaving little time for the studio and running the business.

Regards,

Chip Louie
