What sort of pictures do you want to take? Snapshots of the family
playing on the beach or possibly interesting photos you might one day
enlarge and frame?
I don't see the point of IX series cameras, to be honest. You have
all the disadvantages of APS film - the lower quality picture than
35mm film - and the disadvantages of 35mm film - the IX body is tiny
but the lenses are just as big and bulky as regular EOS 35mm lenses.
Personally if I wanted snapshot on the beach photos I'd simply take
a pocketable point and shoot camera with 35mm film. And if I wanted
something possibly frameable I'd take a small Rebel/300/3000 type
camera, which is only a tiny bit bigger than an IX camera anyway.
APS film does not offer any more "print flexibility" than 35mm film.
You can crop 35mm images any way you want. And APS, despite its lower
image quality, usually costs more to develop and print than 35mm film.
