The original question was "So at what megapixel will it take to equal or surpass a 35mm 100 ASA film speed grain?" The implied question is "At what megapixel can I get photos that originated from a digital camera to look as good as photos that originated from 35 mm film." The question doesn't say, "when does digital (where 'digital' encompasses both film scanning and digital cameras) surpass all-analog." > With film you could do this but you > lose some when you transfer the image from the negative to > the paper since you have to do sop through another lens > (enlarging lens). No you don't. You could drum scan and LightJet or even 4000 dpi scan and inkjet. No enlarging lens needed. * **** ******* *********************************************************** * For list instructions, including unsubscribe, see: * http://www.a1.nl/phomepag/markerink/eos_list.htm ***********************************************************
