Julian et al,

I had a cheapo tripod with no anti-twist material of any kind on the plastic
'quick-release' (& quick break) plate. After a couple of panic attacks of
seeing my camera free twisting 90o at once, I glued a cut of this anti-slip mat
usualy sold for car dashboards, trunks, baby tables, etc. The twisting stopped
right away. The only problem it has it that it needs to be replaced from time to
time since it gets damaged with continuous use.

(Eventually the head itself of tripod broke from the base and now it's a light
stand to put my flash on using a superclamp... I guess the rest of the tripod
will fall apart before the superclamp gives up ;-)

Greetings,

Gerard.
