Hi,
If you want to photograph the eclipse safely, you can project an image of the
sun onto white card using binoculars or a telescope mounted on a tripod, you
could even use a pinhole.  I used a white card shaded from the sky by being
placed in a 5 sided box.  OK the results weren't that marvellous but were
totally safe to view and photograph.and did show the moon's shadow.
