I currently own the EOS 3, and really love it. Before that I had an Elan IIe. Both have had eye controlled focus, which works very well for me. I am however, interested in the 1V. I really like the data capture feature, but I'm weary of the manual focus point selection.
I've never had a camera without ECF, so I'm not sure what life would be without it. Has anyone gone from the EOS 3 to the 1v and regretted it? My lens collection includes the 300/2.8L IS, so I'm willing to upgrade by body. But I'm not sure the benefits outweigh the loss of ECF.
