I agree with you Mark.  I own the 70-200 f/2.8 IS and the 100-400 IS lenses.  I use 
both, but I use the 100-400 four times as much as the 70-200.  I shoot 100% on a 
tripod.  I don't find the push-pull easier, just different.  If I had a choice, I 
would choose the twist action of the 70-200, but it's no big deal.
